Brews ‘N Bones

The first event on the AAC 2018 competitive schedule is Brews ‘N Bones, which is a return to the amazing Great Country Farms in Bluemont, VA on April 14.

We will be playing three official games: AAC Fetch, AAC Freestyle, Rings Of Accuracy.  There will be a fourth game as an exhibition game to encourage the general public to participate in: Timed Retrieval.  This year we will be playing next to the pond, so floating frisbees are recommended. With our new location on the farm comes some new additions to the event.  We will be next to the beer, wine, and food sales, as well as the other vendors.  We should have lots of people to entertain!!

We will be offering event T-shirts for sale for only $5.

We will be raffling off 3 large gift baskets filled with both dog and human goodies.

Registration will begin at 10:30am and the competition will start at 11:00am.  The member fee for the event is $8 for the first dog, and $5 for each additional dog competing.  All entrants will receive a Frisbee, and entry into the Great Country Farm.  As with any event we will be looking for volunteers to help with announcing, registering competitors, judging, and data entry.  Anyone competing in freestyle please send Elaine Shields your music by April 12th, if we don’t already have it from last season.

There will be dinner at the Moore household after the event of barbecue, baked beans, coleslaw and growlers of Dirt Farm beer.  Please join us if you can and bring a small side to share.  For those of you that have a long drive and would like a place to stay, you are welcome to stay at the Moore house, just send a message to Kathy or Andy.  We will try to book the Blue Door Cottage next year to party and stay at like last year; we just did not get it booked in time.

Here’s to another great AAC season!!
